Manning Finally Makes it to the Big Game...

Unfortunately, he has to face some former Gators in the Super Bowl...

Yeah.  We'll never let him live that down.

In all seriousness, though, I'm happy for Peyton Manning taking the Colts to the Super Bowl - as well as his head coach, Tony Dungy.  Both of those guys are class acts and have paid their dues through multiple playoff failures, and I congrulate them for getting the playoff monkey off their back. I think that the Colts presence in the Super Bowl, for the above mentioned fact alone, will make the big game very interesting.

Manning has been an amazing NFL quarterback, a great representative of his alma mater, a great student of the game (almost revolutionary in his knowledge of offensive and defensive schemes) and a genuinely good guy during his career.  I applaud him for that.  And to make it all even better (for Gators fans), he went 0-4 in his college career against Florida.

Rex Grossman also led his team to a victory today in Chicago. When I say "led," I mean he was on the winning team. He made some big plays, especially on a momentum-turning drive that resulted in a long touchdown to Berrian, and that was all that he needed to do. His teammates like him, and a win is a win. Just remember that Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl once.

With that out of the way, I officially throw in my endorsement for Rex Grossman to lead his Bears (who also include Alex Brown, Ian Scott and Todd Johnson) to a Super Bowl win.
