Mostly Gators...despite the flurry of incoming news around the land of college football.
...First off, I matched up against Sean of The 614 (a Buckeyes Blog) in CSTV's latest installment of The Battle of the Blogs. The question of the day was "Who Wins: The Florida Offense vs. The Ohio State Defense?" I tried to map out the possible ways to explain why I think the Gators offense could take this matchup over the Ohio State defense. Sean had some great points as well in a pretty good debate, although I think we took two different approaches. I hope you enjoy it.
...The Sunday Morning Quarterback is doing a series on the national championship game...which can only be good. On Thursday we saw a column on how Florida can win the game. This is required reading, as is the rest of the daily series leading up to the game.
...An update on TE Tate Casey, who was seen with crutches nursing a high ankle sprain on his arrival to Arizona: The latest from the Gainesville Sun is saying that Tate Casey will be listed as probable to play against Ohio State - with Casey saying this:
...There has been some buzz surrounding a few players on the team regarding early entry into the NFL draft - including LB Brandon Siler. Siler denied reports that he has made a decision to leave early for the draft.
...The Naples News has an interesting article up about former Florida QB Terry Dean. Dean, as you know, was the Gators starting QB until a young man by the name of Danny Wuerffel took over the job. Dean remains a huge Gators fan and really likes the way the program is being run under Urban Meyer.
