● Gator baseball defeated Kentucky 5-4 on Sunday to complete a series win over the visiting Wildcats. The game was won on a walk-off single by the pinch-hitting Chris Petrie following three-straight base hits to begin the bottom of the ninth.
Great series win for our boys, especially when you consider the way the Wildcats came out on Friday night (they roughed up the Gators 9-2). After the sweep in Fayetteville last weekend it's been nice to see them win three out of four; Including that great win over FSU earlier in the week.
Now the Gators will wait one week and take on the Vanderbilt in Nashville; The Commodores have been ranked #1 for a good portion of this season.
● The second-seeded Lady Gators tennis team fell to top-seed Georgia on Sunday, ending a bid for a sixth consecutive SEC tournament title.
The Gators and Bulldogs have been having some great matchups in women's athletics this athletic year; The two schools both rank near the top in the nation in tennis, and have had some good battles in gymnastics over the course of the last few months.
This is the second loss for the Lady Gators against the Bulldogs this season.
● I'm a little late to this party, but the Gators football team got a commitment for next season's recruiting class: Junior DE Earl Okine, out of Gainesville High School, committed to the Gators on Thursday.
Excellent news!

Have a great Monday!
Go Gators!
