Shipman was named to the Florida 4-A first-team all-state squad as a junior. He averaged 24.8 points and 7 rebounds a game. He was also named the most valuable player in the state tournament.
Here are the rankings on Shipman as of right now:
Scout.com - 4 stars, 65th nationally, 12th in SF category
Rivals.com - 3 stars, 136th nationally, 21st in SF category
Rivals.com - 3 stars, 136th nationally, 21st in SF category
Shipman chose the University of Florida over Miami, Georgia Tech, Clemson and Kansas State, according to Scout.
