As we all know, Jon Gruden is out in Tampa. Raheem Morris has now named the successor to Monte Kiffin, the architect of the Tampa Two. The 62 year old Tennessee Vol grad has been coaching for 37 years, most recently as Assistant Head Coach of the Denver Broncos.
Obviously Jim's greatest contribution was his son; All-SEC linebacker James Bates has given us a National Championship, the James Bates Show, and my favorite Steve Spurrier impression:
I'm not sure if this hiring will get the Buccaneers more than nine wins next season, but it sure as hell will remind me to watch this video every time I hear them mention Bates.
