Urban Meyer Headlines

Saturday night is the worst time for newspapers to cover breaking news, since the Sunday paper is already formatted and ready for print. (An example is the Tallahassee Democrat with a feature of Bobby Bowden doing a, "Where is my pudding?" face and no Meyer mention.) But the major dailies managed to make room for Urban Meyer above the fold. Of note, the Tampa Tribune couldn't get one of their own writers for their piece and the Lakeland Ledger used a picture of Pat Dooley from 1985 (Lakeland, Ocala Star-Banner and the Gainesville Sun are all New York Times Newspapers.) Also, Meyer made the bottom of the New York Times, thanks to providing The Paper of Record with the only print interview he has done since his announcement.
