So Long, Charlie

The rebuilding starts with a new defensive coordinator. From Pat Forde;

Louisville is on the verge of hiring Florida defensive coordinator Charlie Strong as its next coach...He is expected to be introduced in Louisville on Wednesday.

Strong leaves after directing the Gators to two National Championships, despite being the only holdover from the Zook Error. Urban Meyer will now have to decide if he promotes from within (Chuck Heater, Dan McCarney) or goes outside the program. While we had hoped Strong would have been offered a better gig than Louisville (after winning the Orange Bowl following the 2006 season, they have gone 6-6, 5-7, 4-8), it has been a long time coming. Good luck, Charlie.
