The University of Florida is the balls and don't you forget it

As much as fun as it is to root for Gator sports, anything that makes my degrees look good is awesome. Such is the case with this.

The University of Florida plans to host the final televised gubernatorial debate Oct. 26 on the Gainesville campus.

The debate, organized and sponsored by Florida Blue Key, the university’s leadership honor society, will be produced by broadcast partner Bay News 9. St. Petersburg Times Political Editor Adam C. Smith will moderate the debate, which is expected to be aired live throughout the state from the Phillips Center...

A panel of three UF students also will participate in the questioning of the major candidates for governor. Other sponsors include the Florida Law Review, Graham Center for Public Service, the UF Student Government and the UF ACCENT Speakers Bureau.

Alex Sink vs. Bill McCollum/Rick Scott should be a deathmatch to rival the US Senate race. And I am damn proud the last Gubernatorial cage match will happen on campus. We are the balls. In everything.
