Chomping At Bits: Are The Gators "Plain Bad"?

Chomping At Bits runs twice daily during the week and once daily on weekends, and comes stocked with the best Florida Gators links and news we can find. Got a link we should check out? Email us at AlligatorArmy@gmail.com, subject line CAB.

"Plain bad" Gators: Any analysis that doesn't factor in Florida being undermanned and overwhelmed by a ridiculous schedule isn't exactly complete, but this is an accurate, if brutal, column. (Matt Watts, The Independent Florida Alligator)

Erving Walker, the spark plug: These Gators will only go as far as Erv takes them. (Bill Koss, FOX Sports)

A.C. Leonard misses game: But Will Muschamp says the absence was approved, sort of. (Rachel George, Swamp Things/Orlando Sentinel)

Lessons from Georgia: Yeah, uh, "Brantley played strong, completing 12 of 34" was not the best choice. (JC De La Torre, SB Nation Tampa Bay)

Ohio State's rebirth: It's just good writing. And I could have had something similar to write if Florida had won on Saturday. (Ramzy Nasrallah, Eleven Warriors)

Does Tebow control his fate? Does any NFL player ever really control his fate? (Sayre Bedinger, Mile High Report)

"Tebowing" shirts get C&D'd: Because I guess you have to make a buck off every meme. (Paul Sjoberg, Bourbon Meyer)

After the jump, the Gators video of the day.

Warning: Awful Daughtry song. Also, last year's Gators entered the Vanderbilt game 5-3 after having miraculously staved off Georgia and a four-game losing streak, then forced three turnovers, blocked a punt, and won by 41 in Nashville. Vanderbilt's better this year than it was, but not exponentially so.

As always: Talk about any and all of this and/or anything else you have to say in the comments. Need more Alligator Army in your life?
