Joshua Shaw, Lynden Trail To Transfer From Florida

You know what Florida really needed? More players transferring. That's a great way to build depth.

Joshua Shaw and Lynden Trail will transfer and have been granted the necessary releases to do so, according to the Gainesville Sun's Pat Dooley, Scout's Jason Higdon, and, well, Trail himself, who tweeted:

GATORNATION I LOVE YALL AND LOVED ALL YALL SUPPORT I LOVED THE COACHES MY TEAMMATES AND THE STUDENTS HERE ONCE A GATOR ALWAYS A GATOR <3

Shaw, a defensive back, and Trail, a defensive end, were both part of the class of 2010, Urban Meyer's last recruiting class at Florida, and both didn't see the field in 2010. Shaw played sparingly as a reserve cornerback in 2011, tallying 22 tackles, and none more than his six against Auburn. Trail did not see the field for Florida this season, but earned a measure of notoriety as an avid tweeter who spent a few memorable days in June planking on everything.

Shaw and Trail are the eighth and ninth members of the class of 2010 to transfer from Florida; that's a full third of the 27 players recruited by Meyer.
