Chomping At Bits runs twice daily during the week and once daily on weekends, and comes stocked with the best Florida Gators links and news we can find. Got a link we should check out? Email us at AlligatorArmy@gmail.com, subject line CAB.
Caleb Sturgis' big year: Yes, Sturgis is far and away Florida's best candidate for All-American honors in 2011. (Scott Carter, GatorZone)
Why Missouri's joining the SEC: Staples uses the best metaphor I've seen so far. (Andy Staples, Sports Illustrated)
Brad Beal, the best freshman shooter in America: He's also ranked 12th overall. (Jeff Goodman, CBS Sports)
Recruiting roundtable: I think you'll enjoy this for all of the content, but I'm linking it mostly for that final discussion of great high school stadia. I want to go to the one in Wake Forest. (Rivals)
After the jump, more links from around SB Nation.
BCS rankings, and their ramifications: Florida: Not ranked. You're stunned, surely. (Kevin McCauley, SB Nation | Samuel Chi, SB Nation)
Missouri's backstory: I've said this on Twitter, but I'm really happy that Bill Connelly's joining our crew of SEC bloggers. He's built as good a community with Rock M Nation as any SB Nation has. (Bill Connelly, Rock M Nation)
Who should Georgia fans root for? The Dawg-devoted have a quandary on Saturday: Do they root for hated Florida to all but seal their SEC East title, or for South Carolina to extend our misery? (T. Kyle King, Dawg Sports)
Beach volleyball so hard: Finally, the NCAA has approved women's beach volleyball for the 2012 season. I realize that UF isn't going to jump to add a team, but it certainly could, and very cheaply; the six scholarships wouldn't do much to offset a men's sport for Title IX purposes, though. My question to you is this: Would you go to women's beach volleyball matches featuring a good Gators team, or would it feel to weird and ogle-ready for you? (Herman, Sippin' On Purple)
