Florida Basketball Preview: Preseason NCAA Tournament Expectations For The 2011-12 Gators?

Florida begins its 2011-2012 men's basketball season November 11 with against Jackson State. We'll be previewing the Gators almost every weekday from now until then. We'll call it 15 For 15, in honor of Billy Donovan's 15th season as Florida's head coach.

This 15 For 15 is really simple: Chris Dobbertean's preseason NCAA Tournament bracketology for the 2011-12 season has Florida receiving a No. 2 seed in the West Regional (it's in Phoenix this year) in a bracket with Connecticut. The Gators are at or around the bottom of the top 10 in most polls. It seems to me like the consensus media expectation for this Florida team is a trip to either the Sweet Sixteen or the Elite Eight.

The good news is that here at Alligator Army, we care a bit more about your expectations than, say, Seth Davis' thoughts. That's why this poll exists. Remember to answer it with what you expect from these Gators, this year, rather than what you want. I suspect you and I both want another national title, but I don't expect one. And yes, I'm including missing the NCAA Tournament altogether as an option, because it only seems fair.

And if you want to tell us why in the comments, I'll be hanging out there all afternoon.
