Chomping At Bits runs twice daily during the week and once daily on weekends, and comes stocked with the best Florida Gators links and news we can find. Got a link we should check out? Email us at AlligatorArmy@gmail.com, subject line CAB.
Charlie Weis likes Hunter Joyer: Joyer can bench roughly a gazillion pounds, so I get that. (Rachel George, Swamp Things/Orlando Sentinel)
Matt Elam, stepping up: Which might have something to do with a linebacking corps that forces him to make tackles, maybe, I dunno, just thinking out loud, I guess. (Rachel George, Swamp Things/Orlando Sentinel)
Florida targeting Iowa wide receiver: I've also heard that there's another wideout that the Gators might be looking into, but I can't really say anything more about it. Sorry! (Daniel Thompson, Bourbon Meyer)
Florida softball signs recruiting class: A Taylor, a Taylore, a Kelsey, an Aubree, and a Kirsti. Also, the Taylore is from Chiefland, maybe 40 minutes west of Gainesville, but plays for a travel team from Kansas. I don't get it. (GatorZone)
College Basketball Prospectus on sale: It's in PDF form for now, but the hard copy is coming soon to Amazon. I recommend it, both because we're going to be writing about basketball using some of their statistical approach, and because friends and great writers alike contributed to it. (Jeff Nusser, CougCenter)
