The fourth Florida Gator to be drafted this year is guard Maurice Hurt. He heads to the Washington Redskins via the 217th overall pick (14th pick of the 7th round).
Maurice Hurt, even though he failed a drug test at the combine, is expected to make an immediate (and much needed I might add) impact on the Redskins offensive line. The Redskins offensive line is either hurt, old or just playing out of position.
The Redskins fan in me is, well, the Gators don't have a very good history with the Redskins in terms of production (as I discussed in the comment section here) outside of anyone other than Wilber Marshall.
Head over to the Redskins blog, Hogs Haven, for their thoughts on the pick.
