Florida Baseball Gets No. 2 National Seed In NCAA Tournament

A great season brings great rewards, and after compiling a 45-16 record and winning the SEC Tournament, it was announced today that the Gators will be the No. 2 national seed in the NCAA Tournament, which naturally means they will host a NCAA Regional.   Beginning Friday, the Gainesville regional will consist of Miami (second seed), Jacksonville (third seed), and Manhattan (fourth seed).  Florida's first game will be against the Jaspers at 4 p.m. on Friday at McKethan Stadium. Ticket information for the Gainesville Regional is available at GatorZone.

Miami is never an easy out, so, y'know, go Gators and all that. Let's get back to Omaha and erase the sour taste of last year's two-and-out.

Which is the more intriguing question: how well Florida will do in the NCAA Tournament, or whether FSU can reach Omaha and extend their record 20-year streak of College World Series appearances without winning a national championship?
