Florida baseball is in action again. The fourth-ranked Gators head to the Ozarks tonight to open a three-game series with the No. 18 Razorbacks. Florida (35-10, 17-4 SEC) are coming off a seven-game homestand in which they swept Alabama, Ole Miss, and beat Bethune-Cookman in a Tuesday non-conference game. Arkansas (30-13, 10-11 SEC), one of the leaders in the SEC West, is coming off a split midweek series with Southeast Missouri State.
Arkansas has been a thorn in the side of UF coach Kevin O'Sullivan. In his four-year tenure, the Gators have gone 4-8 against the Razorbacks, and are 0-3 at Baum Stadium. Florida, however, has never had this strong a starting pitching staff — or, possibly, a team. Sophomore pitcher Hudson Randall (8-1, 1.75 ERA) takes the bump for the Gators against the 'Hogs' D.J. Baxendale (6-1, 1.50 ERA).
You can catch the game on ESPNU at 7:30 p.m. Florida plays Arkansas on Friday and Saturday at 7:35 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., respectively.
