The Gators No. 3/2 ranked and top seeded lacrosse team advanced to its first ALC tournament title game with a 16-13 victory over Ohio State Friday afternoon. The Gators were led by sophomores Ashley Burns and Janine Hillier, both with four goals and two assists on the day. Tewaaraton (National Lacrosse MVP) nominee Kitty Cullen added three goals for the Gators for her 15th hat trick of the year.
The Gators will face the No. 2 seeded Northwestern Wildcats in the championship game Saturday at 1pm at the Vanderbilt Lacrosse Complex in Nashville. The match will be streamed live on vucommodores.com. The Gators defeated the Wildcats 13-11 on April 14th in Gainesville. The teams are 1-1 against each other all time.
