Florida Gators Have Six Players In Updated ESPNU 150

The Florida Gators have six players in the most recent update of ESPNU's Top 150 rankings list. In the previous edition of the rankings, the Gators had four commits. Of those four players Jessamen Dunker fell to No. 31, Colin Thompson fell to No. 84, Latroy Pittman rose to No. 105, and Omari Phillips rose to No. 111.

Joining those players on the Top 150 in this edition are CB Brian Poole (No. 134) and LB Lorenzo Phillips (No. 140).

For those interested, Florida State has seven players listed in the Top 150, including the top overall player in DE Mario Edwards. Miami and Alabama have five players listed, LSU has three, Georgia has one, and Tennessee has zero.

It is very clear at this point in the game that when it comes to accruing quality (and quantity) in recruiting, the Gators' toughest competition continues to be Florida State. An interesting thought to throw around: Remember how good Florida's 2010 defensive line class was? Well, the Seminoles seem to be putting together an even better one.
