Florida is 6-0 and No. 2 in the BCS and the lone undefeated team in the SEC East. But there is still much work to do in the 2012 season, and South Carolina will be the first high hurdle of two left between the Gators and what could be their first trip to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game since 2009.
Here's how you can watch Florida vs. South Carolina, some series history, and some gambling notes.
Game time, TV channel: 3:30 p.m. Eastern, CBS
Online streaming: Florida vs. South Carolina will be streamed by CBS.
Point spread: Florida is favored by 3.5 points.
Series history: Florida is 23-6-3 against South Carolina all-time, but 16-3 since the series became an annual one when the Gamecocks joined the SEC in 1992. South Carolina's won the last two matchups, though, tying their longest winning streak in the series, and is 3-4 against the Gators under Spurrier. Florida's never lost two straight games in Gainesville against South Carolina, since the 2010 loss was its first to the 'Cocks in The Swamp, nor has it lost three straight games in this series.
Chomping at Bits seems sort of silly on game days. As always: Talk about any and all of this and/or anything else you have to say in the comments. And let this serve as your College GameDay open thread, too; I'll throw the pics of signs I see in the comments.
