Florida added another commitment late Saturday, according to 247Sports: Former Auburn commitment Jarrad Davis, a linebacker from Camden County, Georgia. Davis was on an official visit to Florida on Saturday.
Davis is the second linebacker to commit to Florida in six days, joining Matt Rolin, who flipped to the Gators from South Carolina last Sunday, and his commitment paired with Rolin's more than makes up for the Monday decommitment of Quinton Powell.
Rivals gives Davis, listed at 6'3" and 215 pounds, three stars, and his 247Composite rating is a high three stars, good for No. 488 in the service's national rankings. At that height and weight, he's got the kind of frame necessary to play outside or inside for the Gators, and may take a redshirt year to add weight and strength.
Davis joins Daniel McMillian, James Hearns, and Rolin in an exceptionally solid class of linebackers for Florida, and is the 26th commitment in Florida's Class of 2013.
We'll have more on Florida's recruiting class of 2013 on Sunday, and even more (like, a roundtable) on Monday, so if you have questions you would like me or some actual recruiting experts to ask, fire away.
