Update: GatorZone confirmed the news Monday afternoon.
After a Sunday report that former Kentucky head coach Joker Phillips was in contention to be Florida's next wide receivers coach, a Monday report holds that Phillips will be announced as that coach this week.
Sources tell us Will Muschamp has agreed to hire Joker Phillips. Look for announcement later this week footballscoop.com/the-scoop

Phillips was Kentucky's head coach from 2010 to 2012, and compiled a 13-24 record with the Wildcats. Kentucky went 3-9 in 2012, and Phillips was fired effective at the end of the season.
But Phillips also has extensive experience as a wide receivers coach, dating back to 1991, and has coached the position at Kentucky, Cincinnati, Notre Dame, Minnesota, and South Carolina. Phillips is also regarded as an excellent recruiter, something that Will Muschamp prizes in all of his assistants, and could help continue to reverse Florida's momentum when it comes to landing top wide receiver recruits.
