We're trying something new: The Weekend Preview is a quick-hitting preview that will run on Fridays and let you know which Gators are in action when and what's at stake.

Baseball takes on Tennessee in Knoxville

Florida's baseball team ought to show it can be consistent against teams that are not Florida State at some point in its SEC schedule. A three-game series with the Vols in Knoxville would be a good time to do that. Hudson Randall is still day-to-day, and unlikely to pitch this weekend, but the Gators could have Karsten Whitson take the bump again. Florida plays at 6 p.m. on Friday (Gator Radio Network), 2 p.m. on Saturday (FOX Sports Florida or SEC-TV/Gator Radio Network) and 3 p.m. on Sunday (Gator Radio Network).

"Senior Day" for Florida lacrosse

Caroline Cochran is the first senior Florida lacrosse has ever had. And she's going to miss Florida's Senior Day game against Vanderbilt this Saturday, thanks to a torn ACL suffered in February. The No. 5 Gators have been rolling in American Lacrosse Conference play, and could earn their ninth home win of the year by topping the Commodores in a match that starts on Saturday at noon. You can see the game on FOX Sports Florida or GatorVision, and hear it on WRUF 850. (I'll be there and providing tweets from the game.)

Gators tennis takes on South Carolina

Both Florida tennis squads are in action against South Carolina on Saturday. The women's team is in Columbia for their matchup, which begins at 11:00 a.m., while the men's team will be holding serve in Gainesville beginning at 1 p.m. at Linder Stadium.

Softball looks to right ship against Auburn

Florida's softball squad had a brownout against UCF on Wednesday, mustering just two hits, both by leadoff hitter Michelle Moultrie, in a 2-0 loss. They'll look to rebound against Auburn this weekend at Pressly Stadium, with games at 6 p.m. Friday (I'll be in attendance) and 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. All three games can be seen on GatorVision and heard on WGYC-FM 104.9.
