Florida landed a commitment from elite 2013 wide receiver Ahmad Fulwood (Jacksonville, Fla.). The five-star prospect, according to ESPN, announced the news on his Twitter account, and ESPN's Derek Tyson confirmed the story.
Just committed to The University of Florida #Gatornation

At 6'3", 200 pounds, Fulwood gives Florida the playmaker out on the edge it sorely needs, especially after coming up short on Stefon Diggs and Nelson Agholor in 2012.
Clemson was out in front with Fulwood for some time, but when Nick Washington, a close friend of Fulwood's, committed to UF and joined Fulwood on a recent visit to UF, the Gators became the clear leader.
It will still be a battle to keep Fulwood on board, however. Clemson is going to remain in the picture, especially considering Fulwood's mother likes Clemson more than Florida.
Fortunately for Florida, the Gators have Washington on board, and are out in front for four-star defensive end DeMarcus Walker (Jacksonville, Fla.), another friend of Fulwood's.
Fulwood joins Rodney Adams as Florida's current wide receiver commits in the Class of 2013. Ideally, Florida would like to sign at least four, possibly five.
