Chomping At Bits: Florida Track Team Involved In Rough Plane Landing

Chomping At Bits comes stocked with the best Florida Gators links and news we can find. Got a link we should check out? Email us at, subject line CAB.

Scary moment for Florida track: Just hours after the Gators' men's track team finished winning their first outdoor national championship — more on that in a half-hour — their plane developed a crack in the windshield in flight, necessitating a hard landing. Everyone's okay, and safely back home, but you can follow the tweets of the fairly harrowing night via runner Tony McQuay, SID Amanda Brooks, and assistant strength coach Matt DeLancey. Shooting in Auburn reportedly leaves three dead: Terrible news out of Auburn last night: A shooting at an apartment complex reportedly left three people dead, and an early, since-deleted report from the Auburn school newspaper indicated at least one was a former Tigers football player. A Reddit commenter who allegedly lives at the complex reports that both Ed Christian and Ladarious Phillips were involved and killed. Florida will start Jonathon Crawford: I love this move, but more on it later, after caffeine. (@CJonesScout)
