Florida is back in Omaha, where these Gators have seemed to belong all year. And on Saturday night, under the lights, the Gators meet the South Carolina team that has made Omaha a second home over the last three years, running off an incredible string of wins. Florida is 3-1 against the Gamecocks this year, but South Carolina is riding an obscene postseason winning streak and is throwing Michael Roth tonight.
The winner of this game will have the inside track to the College World Series final. The loser will likely have to beat the winner twice more to get there. It's the final first round of the 2012 CWS -- and it's a heavyweight bout.
First Pitch
9:05 p.m. Eastern
TV, Radio and Streaming Information
The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. You can also watch it streaming online or on your mobile device of choice through Watch ESPN. The radio broadcast will also be available on the Gator Radio Network.
What to Watch For
Roth has been one of the best postseason pitchers in college baseball history, but Florida starter Brian Johnson has done well against South Carolina this year, holding the 'Cocks to four earned runs in 16 innings and winning both of his starts.
Game Thread Guidelines
Try to remember that, despite how emotional watching a Gators game can be, there's no reason to be abusive. Rant, curse, or exult if you must, but keep the personal attacks to a minimum.
