Florida's Friday Night Lights is on the way to being a major success for the Gators. Getting Lawrenceville, Georgia DE Antonio Riles' commitment before the camp even starts, though, is a bit of a surprise. The Gainesville Sun's Zach Abolverdi broke the commitment, despite almost throwing out his shoulder while patting himself on the back.
Riles is a 6'4", 262-pound defensive end according to Rivals, but he's only got three stars from the recruiting service. In fact, Riles only has three stars from Scout and 247 Sports, too; ESPN's the only service giving Riles four stars right now.
But Riles has great size for an end, the sort of size that some see as prototypical not just for the SEC but the NFL, and his list of offers (Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, South Carolina) backs up the idea that the inconsistency he's shown at times at the high school level isn't enough to make coaches flinch from him.
Riles joins a growing defensive line class that already counts Caleb Brantley and Joey Ivie as members. Jordan Sherit and DeMarcus Walker would theoretically be next on Will Muschamp's list.
