VIDEO: Will Muschamp Talks Florida's First Fall Scrimmage, Jeff Driskel Vs. Jacoby Brissett

I'm going to be away from my laptop for a couple of hours in the near future, but here's GatorVision's free video of Will Muschamp addressing the media earlier on Monday. Many topics are discussed, including the cornerback position battle, the quarterback position battle that Jeff Driskel and Jacoby Brissett are "dead on" in (I'm guessing Muschamp meant to say "in a dead heat"), depth allowing Florida to go longer in the withering heat on Saturday, the rise of freshman Raphael Andrades, the good depth at running back, the lack of explosive plays on offense in the scrimmage, amnesia-causing interceptions, and much, much more.

When I get back, I'll do a little transcribing of this, but I think the most important takeaways are these three:

  1. Florida's not going to reveal a starting quarterback until it absolutely has to.
  2. Players have changed and improved since last year, and it's sounding like Loucheiz Purifoy is one of the ones who has done that the most.
  3. The really good Gators defense that mostly returns from last year is still ahead of the offense that is missing a lot of what didn't even work all that well all the time last year.

Feel free to discuss in the comments, and pick out things I'm glossing over.
