Max Staver likes Florida's "hot girls and good football": Look, in a vacuum, the Florida QB commit is right to like that there are attractive women at UF just like he's right to like that the football program is excellent; he's allowed to choose a college for whatever reasons he wants. But, frankly, that's a lamentably meat-headed sentiment he's going to get away with because he's an 18-year-old dude, and because men leering at women doesn't get checked like it probably should. There's no obvious reversibility test here, as the recruiting of female athletes is not big enough for people to care what most of those recruits say, but I think a woman in Staver's position saying she liked "hot guys and great basketball" or something like that would raise more than a few eyebrows. If Staver's going to be Florida's starter at some point, he might want to learn be a little more adult than quotes like that one and tweets like this one make him sound. Kudos to Gator Country for getting this quote, though. (Andrew Spivey, Gator Country)
Andre Debose still in doghouse: Still sighing about this. (Jason Lieser, Gator Bytes | The Palm Beach Post)
4-0 looking familiar for Gators: This is eerie. (@onlygators)
Gators want to avoid 0-for-October: I'm sure every single fan feels the same way. (Scott Carter, GatorZone)
