Florida football recruiting: Are the Gators going to have the SEC's best 2013 class?

Florida's tremendous 2013 class might just be the best in the SEC.

Al Messerschmidt

Recruiting has gone very, very well for Florida. But the Gators couldn't possibly beat the rest of the SEC — including two-time defending national champion Alabama — on the recruiting trail, could they?

That's one of the storylines for the SEC as National Signing Day — next Wednesday, February 6 — nears. Among the others:

  • Can Vanderbilt's recent success translate to a class that might actually make the Commodores contenders in the East?
  • Will Auburn salvage enough of its class to avoid deepening its post Cam Newton drop-off under Gus Malzahn?
  • Can anyone keep pace with Alabama in the West?
  • Is Texas A&M's massive class going to be enough to make up for losing perhaps the top two picks of the NFL Draft?
  • Is Kentucky's class going to be something other than embarrassing?
  • We're going to have tons of coverage here and at the mothership about what to expect in this hectic final stretch for the Class of 2013, but I also want to know what you want to know. What would you like to read in the next 10 days?
