Here's the first concrete report to come out on Tyler Murphy's status for Saturday's game between the Florida Gators and Missouri Tigers: Zach Abolverdi of The Gainesville Sun reporting that a source says Murphy is planning to play ... but did, in fact, get injured against LSU, and missed practice early this week.
Source: #Gators QB Tyler Murphy injured shoulder at LSU. Missed practice early in the week but looked fine Thursday. Will play vs. Mizzou.

It's anyone's guess when Murphy injured his shoulder, really, but mine would be the penultimate play of the game, which produced a sack that appeared to include Murphy's left shoulder hitting the ground hard.
That Murphy will play is promising, but it's a safe bet that he'll need to be handled with care: Florida has no quarterbacks with any collegiate experience behind him, and Skyler Mornhinweg looked like a distant No. 3 behind Jeff Driskel and Murphy —a clear No. 2 behind Driskel — in fall camp.
I expect a heavy dose of Florida's running game and some significant usage of Trey Burton in the wildcat to take some pressure off of Murphy, and better distribute possibly injurious contact.
