Spoiler alert: If you are ranked near the bottom of the college football rankings, and lose, you will fall out of those rankings. That's what happens to the Florida Gators in the Week 8 USA TODAY coaches poll and AP Top 25, as they fall from No. 22 to being unranked in both polls.
We don't actually know whether Florida is in the also receiving votes section coaches poll, thanks to a third straight week of technical difficulties that have delayed the release of the entire poll, but we know the Gators are behind three other Sunshine State teams: Florida State is No. 3 after its domination of Clemson, Miami is No. 6, and UCF is No. 25 after knocking off Louisville.
The Week 8 AP Poll, which you can see below, definitely has Florida in the also receiving votes section, and technically slots the Gators as the No. 32 team in college football, one spot behind Mississippi and one ahead of Washington. Again, Florida is unranked while three in-state teams are; while FSU is also No. 3 in the AP Poll, Miami is No. 7, and UCF No. 21.
Florida is now unranked for the first time since 2011.
