SB Nation's odds partner, OddsShark, shows the opening line for LSU-Florida favoring LSU by 6.5 points, with current odds at three online sportsbooks giving LSU a seven-point edge.
Florida and LSU have tended to play either very close games or blowouts of late — since 2007, the games in the series have been decided by four, 30, 10, four, 30, and eight points, in chronological order.
Personally, I think about a touchdown is the right number for this line, though I wouldn't be surprised to see the line fluctuate between six points and seven points over the course of the week, as bettors try to get value for the Gators or Tigers — if LSU's favored by seven, Florida's the better bet, and if the line's 6.5, the Tigers look slightly better to me.
