Chomping at Bits: Tyler Murphy still banged up and Brent Pease wants another year

Among other things in this edition of Chomping at Bits, we'll look at Tyler Murphy's injury and inability to practice and whether or not Brent Pease is right in his assessment that he's earned another year in Gainesville.

Tyler Murphy still hurting: He hasn't been cleared by the medical staff yet and has apparently been throwing kind of but isn't dressing for practice. So yeah, uh-oh. (Robbie Andreu, The Gainesville Sun)

Brent Pease knows his future is murky: Pease believes he has earned the right to return in the same position next year. I'm not so sure. (Jesse Simonton, The Miami Herald)

Friendship between Will Muschamp and Jimbo Fisher: The yearly talking point between the two schools and their coaches is back again. I wonder how many times the beach house will be talked about during the broadcast of the game. The over/under odds are set at about 6.5. (Jesse Simonton, The Miami Herald)

Muschamp has disgraced the Florida Gators: Look, I get that this loss was bad. I get it. I really do. But teams lose games they shouldn't but they also win games they shouldn't. It takes luck to get to 10 wins every year and no coach, I don't care who he is are, is going to average that over the course of his career. (Neil Shulman, In All Kinds Of Weather)

Gators not in great shape with running back recruits: So Dalvin Cook and the other targets are looking elsewhere? What I wasn't aware of, though, is that a hometown kid is looking to go to Oregon. Really? (Zach Abolverdi, Gator Prospectus/Gainesville Sun)

Will Grier finalist for player of the year: Good for him and good for the Gators. Hopefully he'll convince a couple other recruits to come to Gainesville. (Chris Hays, Orlando Sentinel)

Favorite section in The Swamp: If you're just going to get tickets to a random game (say, a general admission type of buy), where are your favorite seats? Personally, I like the Sunshine seats at the top of the north end of the stadium. They have a great view aside from the one corner of the endzone and they are actually seats instead of bleachers.

Hunger Games: I was "forced" by the lady to go see the movie and it's not all that bad. I've now seen more Hunger Games movies (two) than I have Harry Potter or Twilight movies combined (zero). Well, I did see the first hour or so of the first Harry Potter movie and then fell asleep because I thought it was incredibly dumb, so if you'd like to count it go ahead.

Thanksgiving: I'm sure we've all got plans and for those of you who are traveling to places be safe, have fun and don't do anything that I wouldn't do. For those of you that aren't traveling, same thing.
