Kurt Roper takes over: As we've all mentioned before, Will Muschamp's career at Florida will come down to whether or not Roper succeeds in his role as offensive coordinator. Roper, who worked under one of the best quarterback minds in college football in David Cutcliffe, will have his work cut out for him in tutoring Jeff Driskel. (Jon Cooper, Saturday Down South)

Muschamp believes Roper can help: Help the offense, save the offense or save Muschamp's career at Florida. Is there any difference in the three? (Steve Wiseman, The Herald-Sun)

Roper's coaching past: Roper's past coaching stops include time at Tennessee, Ole Miss, Kentucky and of course Duke. He's done everything from coaching quarterbacks to passing game coordinator to running the offense. We'll see how things go. (Phillip Heilman, The Palm Beach Post)

Da'Vante Phillips decommits from Florida: We'll have more on this later, but as of now the number one 2015 wide receiver is no longer part of the Gators' future class. (Adam Silverstein, Only Gators)

Handing out presents to the SEC East: The Gators get a game-breaker on offense which is just fine with me. (Jon Cooper, Saturday Down South)

Kent Taylor going to Kansas: The former Gators tight end will get his next shot in the Big 12. (ESPN)

A look at the top transfers in Gators sports history: This was a cool idea. It encompasses all sports and includes incoming and outgoing transfers and what they did at their new school if that was the case. Though the No. 5 outgoing still, yeah, I hate that guy. (Pat Dooley, GatorSports)

Gators basketball at a glance: A pretty good FanPost over on Team Speed Kills here on why the Gators are playing the best basketball in the SEC. (cmnkm5, Team Speed Kills)

Holiday season: I hope everyone is having a good holiday season, a good Christmas with their families and everything else.

Bacon: Is it just me or is bacon the best when it is cooked only in a fry pan or on a griddle?
