SEC Indoor Championships: Lorraine Graham records Florida's second-best pentathlon score

Lorraine Graham recorded the second-best pentathlon in Florida Gators history at the first day of the SEC Indoor Championships.

The Florida Gators track and field teams got off to a great start at the 2013 SEC Indoor Championships as Lorraine Graham picked up five team points with her pentathlon score of 4,010 points.The women's team now sits in fourth-place overall as day two begins today at 11:00 a.m. ET.

Graham accomplished that by finishing third overall in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.44 seconds. Graham recorded a high jump of 1.60 meters which was good for 736 points before finishing third overall in the shot put by throwing a best distance of 12.44 meters. In the long jump, Graham also finished third overall by recording a best distance of 6.15 meters. Graham ended her outing by recording a personal best in the 800 meters by finishing with a time of 2:32.29 seconds.

The women's standings now look like this after day-one:

  • 1) Arkansas - 10 points
  • 1) Texas A&M - 10 points
  • 3) Georgia - 8 points
  • 4) Florida - 5 points
  • 5) LSU - 3 points
