The Florida Gators track and field teams will begin the 2013 outdoor season today in a split-weekend of competition as the majority of the teams will head to Orlando for the UCF Invite and the distance runners will head a little further north to the FSU Relays in Tallahassee. The men's team begins the season ranked No. 3 in the country and the women's team is set to begin things also in the top 10 at No. 7.

The UCF Invite is a two-day event that begins today at 2:15 p.m. ET and continues on until about 4:30 p.m. ET. The action will resume on Saturday at 9:00 p.m. ET and go until the conclusion of events, which is expected to be around 5:30 p.m. ET. The FSU Relays is a two-day meet as well, but the Gators will only be participating for one of those days, and that action will start at 5:15 p.m. ET and will end a little before 7:00 p.m. ET as far as the Gators are concerned.

Heat sheets for those meets are available in PDF form here (UCF Invite) and here (FSU Relays). Well, I guess technically the FSU Relays link is the performance list, which is slightly different. A full schedule of the Gators who are in action is over at GatorZone.

Coverage for the UCF Invite will be headquartered at UCFathletics.com and you can check in on all the action live, courtesy of Half Mile Timing. As for the FSU Relays, if you have the courage to visit Seminoles.com, you can find coverage of the meet there. You can also view results for the FSU Relays at Half Mile Timing, if you are like me and can't bring yourself to click on that above link.
