Jeff Choate gets hired: He was at the same position for years at Boise State, so it's fairly certain that Brent Pease had something to do with this hire. Anyway, he produces some great kickoff and punt return teams. I'm sure we'll have more on this hire in the coming days. (Scott Carter, GatorZone)

Q&A with Ronald Powell: Powell appears to be both mentally and physically ready for the start of the season despite that setback last October. He also likes how Dante Fowler and Jonathan Bullard listen to the coaches more than he did upon his arrival in Gainesville. (Chris Harry, GatorZone)

Leading the draft: Sharrif Floyd is a top 5 pick and Matt Elam will probably be right behind him in the first round, but where do the others stand? (Matt Watts, Miami Herald)

More on Gators in the NFL draft: This time we get the main talking head talking about the Gators. (Arnold Feliciano, GatorSports)

Patric Young has surgery: He had the bone spurs removed that he struggled with throughout the postseason. I have a feeling that was part of the reason why he has decided to return for his senior year. The guess here is that he didn't want to go out like that. (Edgar Thompson, Swamp Things/Orlando Sentinel)

Details on SEC Network: The SEC is going to have so much more money it's just funny at this point. (John Pennington, MrSEC)

Boston Marathon and priorities: I'm sure we all get it, expect for that Clemson guy from a few years ago. (Josh Jurnovoy, The Independent Florida Alligator)
