Chomping at Bits: Gators get late night commit, football continues to go through changes

With basketball season over, it's time to get back to the business that is spring football. At least for today.

Chomping at Bits comes stocked with the best Florida Gators links and news we can find. Got a link we should check out? Email us at AlligatorArmy@gmail.com, subject line CAB, or find us on Twitter at @AlligatorArmy or on Facebook at Facebook.com/AlligatorArmy.

Football adds another one: I'm sure Andy will have more on this later, but four-star (and Rivals250 member) defensive tackle Anthony Moten picked the Gators last night on Twitter over teams such as Alabama, Clemson, Florida State and Miami. The 6-foot-4, 280 pound tackle should fit in very nice next year. (Zach Abolverdi, Gainesville Sun)

Easley at tackle, Watkins at safety: And their both doing just fine adjusting to a new role. Also important: Brad Phillips is emerging from spring practice with a slight edge over Austin Hardin for the starting kicking job. I know some of you have asked, well, there is your answer. (Robbie Andreu, Gainesville Sun)

Backup quarterbacks wanted: Instead of Jeff Driskel vs. Jacoby Brissett battling it out for the No. 1 role, its Tyler Murphy and Skyler Morhningweg fighting it out for the No. 2 spot. (Robbie Andreu, Gainesville Sun)

Antonio Morrison, football player: Throwing a teammate to the ground might be a little much, but I agree with coach Muschamp that it is a good problem to have. (Michael DiRocco, ESPN/SEC Blog)

More on spring game: As I talked about last week in the CAB and Andy's talked about the past couple of days, this is just more of the same when it comes to the changes in the spring football game. (Michael DiRocco, ESPN/GatorNation)

Baseball peaking for postseason?: I don't know if it will matter when you're record is about as good as the Cleveland Indians' record will probably be in a little over a month (sigh), but hey, hope is good right? (Josh Jurnovoy, The Independent Florida Alligator)
