Erik Murphy drafted by Chicago Bulls: Murphy, who was taken with the 49th overall pick, will join fellow Gator Joakim Noah on a non-guaranteed contract. To continue a discussion that we had the other day, look at the accomplishments by David Lee. Surprising to you right? Told you. (GatorZone)
SB Nation and Chicago blog comments: You can read what Bulls (and other) fans are saying courtesy of a nice draft profile of Murphy and the Bulls' blog here on SB Nation. (your friendly BullsBlogger, Blog a Bull) (Umair Kahn, Bullets Forever)
Gators finish second in Directors Cup: Behind Stanford yet again. But hey, the Gators still are the only program in the NCAA to finish in the top 10 each of the last thirty years. There's something that has to be said about that. (GatorZone)
Preseason All-Americans: The Gators have three. Punter Kyle Christy made the first-team while cornerback Loucheiz Purifoy and defensive tackle Dominique Easley both made the fourth-team. (Chris Low, SEC Blog/ESPN)
Stopping Alabama: With 9% of the current vote, the public doesn't think it will be the Gators. (Edward Aschoff, SEC Blog/ESPN)
More bad news for Aaron Hernandez: Now he's being looked at as a possible suspect in a 2012 double murder. It turns out that he rented the SUV in connection with that crime. Things just keep getting worse and worse for Hernandez. (Adam Schefter)
Personal thoughts: Welp. Paul Pierce is out of Boston and heading to Brooklyn. Sad. I was entering high school when he came into the league and fell into the Celtics' lap. One of the greatest and toughest players in Celtics and NBA history. Going to miss that guy. A lot.
Personal thoughts II: It's almost July. This summer is going by really fast. That's a good thing.
