Chomping at Bits comes stocked with the best Florida Gators links and news we can find. Got a link we should check out? Email us at AlligatorArmy@gmail.com, subject line CAB, or find us on Twitter at @AlligatorArmy or on Facebook at Facebook.com/AlligatorArmy.

Mike Peterson is back: He's recently enrolled in classes to finish up his sociology degree and has joined the coaching staff as an undergraduate student assistant. His role will be coaching linebackers. (Zach Abolverdi, The Gainesville Sun)

Neiron Ball makes case: He wants to start and he's letting his play in camp do the talking. (Jesse Simonton, The Miami Herald)

Gators poised for success: They must be when a Long Island newspaper is writing about them, right? Even though it's written by the Associated Press, they put it in an edition of their paper. (Associated Press, Newsday)

Time change for Thursday's practice: Still waiting on that indoor facility... But the open practice date is now going to be at the lacrosse field at 7:30, barring weather. And don't take pictures. (Kevin Brockway, The Gainesville SunScott Carter, Carter's Corner | GatorZone)

Student day: On August 20, the first 500 students to attend the open practice will receive a free pizza, water and two Rowdy Reptiles points. And there will be prize drawings and so forth. (GatorZone)

Going to the games: I received my tickets yesterday and I'll be attending the Tennessee, Arkansas and Georgia Southern games. Florida State and my one away game in odd-numbered years are up in the air at the moment. That away game could either be Kentucky, LSU or South Carolina. But if you're going to be at any of those games, hit me up and we'll see if we can meet up. I'm still hoping one day we can get an Alligator Army gameday type thing going.
