After securing Jalen Tabor's commitment in the morning on Thursday, Florida looked to have a logjam at the cornerback position in the class of 2014. Chris Lammons is decluttering the position by decommitting from Florida, as ESPN's Derek Tyson reported late Thursday night.
Lammons is a long-armed four-star cornerback with plenty of potential, but few would argue he's a better player or prospect at cornerback than Tabor, and Tabor's commitment and status as an early enrollee would make it more difficult for Lammons to get significant time as a freshman.
Lammons spent Thursday morning mulling his decision on Twitter.

Lammons also tweeted that his decommitment was not "because" of Tabor's commitment:

Lammons has been pursued by both South Carolina and Wisconsin of late, and chose Florida over South Carolina and Tennessee in August 2013.
Lammons's decommitment leaves Florida with 20 commitments for the class of 2014, but three at cornerback: Tabor and Duke Dawson are early enrollees, while Quincy Wilson is a mid-year enrollee. And they will join a secondary with several established corners, though Florida still must move on without starting cornerbacks Loucheiz Purifoy and Marcus Roberson, each of whom is departing early for the NFL Draft.
