Florida's full football schedule for the 2015 is now available, with the SEC's release of the conference's full 2015 schedules during SEC Now on the SEC Network on Tuesday night.
The big news: Florida will play Mississippi on October 3, 2015, in a crucial midseason cross-division clash, and maybe the highlight of the Gators' home SEC slate for 2015.
The SEC released its rotation of non-permanent cross-divison opponents through 2025 in May, so we knew the Rebels were coming to Gainesville for the first time since handing the Gators' 2008 national championship team its only loss back then, and thus knew the full Florida schedule — the Gators' non-conference games had been previously announced, with East Carolina filling the slate in February.
We just didn't know dates, really. And now we do.
The important things to know: Mississippi comes to town on October 3; Florida's bye (there's only one for every SEC team next year) is on October 24, one week before the Gators' game against Georgia, as is customary; Florida begins the year with four of five games at home games and ends it with two at home, but will play four of five games away from The Swamp in the heart of its season.
Here's the full 2015 Florida Gators football schedule:
