Florida and Florida State will kick off their rivalry game at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN this Saturday, the SEC announced. The game's start time had been in flux, and dependent on results from last weekend in college football.
It will be the fourth straight 3:30 p.m. kickoff at Doak Campbell Stadium in the history of the rivalry. Florida beat FSU, 37-26, in that last 3:30 kickoff in 2012, in perhaps the high-water mark of Will Muschamp's career as the Gators' head coach, and is 2-1 in Tallahassee since 2008, demolishing the Seminoles 45-15 en route to the program's third national title in 2008, and taking a 31-7 defeat at the hands of Christian Ponder in Urban Meyer's final regular season game in 2010.
Florida is 5-1 against Florida State in Tallahassee since 2004, with losses to Florida teams coached by Ron Zook, Meyer, and Muschamp.
Florida hasn't hosted a 3:30 p.m. game against FSU since 2009, when the Gators won 37-10 in Tim Tebow's final home game.
