Florida football recruiting: Tyler Jordan commits, becomes Gators' third 2015 commitment

Florida will need to keep reloading on the offensive line in future years. Getting an early commitment from rising 2015 OL Tyler Jordan is a good start.

Florida's Junior Day continues apace, and the Gators have reportedly landed their biggest — literally — commitment in the class of 2015 yet in Jacksonville Bishop Kenny offensive lineman Tyler Jordan, per 247Sports' Luke Stampini ($). Scout's Bob Redman subsequently reported Jordan's commitment.

Jordan received an offer from Florida on February 10, per 247Sports, and then got a flurry of other offers in the week following that, including ones from Stanford, Georgia, Ohio State, and Penn State. And, given Stanford's track record with offensive linemen in the last five years, it seems like a nice catch for Florida to get a commitment from a local player who heard from the Cardinal.

The 247Sports Composite rates Jordan as a three-star player, and the No. 85 player in Florida, but given his recruitment blowing up in February, it's a decent bet that the 6'4", 280-pounder has some potential upward mobility in the rankings.

And if he mauls people this fall like he does repeatedly in these junior year highlights, I'd bet on Jordan moving up.

Jordan becomes Florida's third commitment for the class of 2014, joining Friday commitment Deondre Farrier and January commitment Deontai Williams.
