Chomping at Bits comes stocked with the best Florida Gators links and news we can find. Got a link we should check out? Email us at AlligatorArmy@gmail.com, subject line CAB, or find us on Twitter at @AlligatorArmy or on Facebook at Facebook.com/AlligatorArmy.
Three takeaways from Nashville: Once the Gators figure out how to beat a zone defense (isn't that Syracuse's bread and butter), they'll be just fine in the NCAA Tournament, right? (Kevin Brockway, The Gainesville Sun)
Hero of Nashville: Dorian Finney-Smith had 19 points and nine rebounds in leading the Gators over the 'Dores last night in Nashville. (Chris Harry, GatorZone)
Keep on winning: Don't the Gators always struggle in February? (Gene Frenette, The Florida Times-Union)
Gators clinch share of SEC Championship: Three SEC Championships in the last four years means that most of the seniors on this team are going to leave Gainesville with a lot of rings. (Franz Beard, GatorCountry)
Jaylen Watkins runs a 4.41: Could he be the Gators' first defensive back picked in April's NFL Draft? (Edgar Thompson, Swamp Things/Orlando Sentinel)
Combine notes for Gators: Apparently Ronald Powell is just as fast as Trey Burton, Loucheiz Purifoy and Marcus Roberson. All three of them ran in the low-to-mid 4.6s in the 40 yard dash. (Franz Beard, GatorCountry)
Jay-nard Bostwick: He's put on roughly forty pounds since arriving in Gainesville last year and looks to be the third defensive linemen in the rotation. (Nick de la Torre, GatorCountry)
Speaking of the NFL Combine: We'll have a full update on how the lot of former Gators performed in Indianapolis within the next day or so.
Nashville double: Imagine Dragons concert on Monday night and Gators basketball on Tuesday night. Check.
Top concerts: Take into account that I'm not quite 30 years old (that's in like four months) and I prefer classic rock and country music.
- 1) Jimmy Buffett - My favorite musician, my favorite concert.
- 2) Florida-Georgia Line - Amazing. They've just got "it".
- 3) Imagine Dragons - Radioactive is just incredible.
- 4) Lynyrd Skynyrd - Granted this was in like 2004 so I didn't see them in their heyday, but their brother's band .38 Special opened for them. It was awesome.
- 5) Kenny Chesney - Does he have a bad song?
Now I'll admit that I've been to about 7 or 8 concerts. Throw in Rascal Flatts, Alan Jackson and Brad Paisley and you've pretty much covered all the concerts I've attended, not counting music festivals. If you're counting those, throw in Boyz II Men, Pat Benatar, Kid Rock, Cheap Trick, The Allman Brothers and a host of others.
What's your favorite concert(s)?
The comments are yours.
