Cody Riggs, who started 12 games at safety for Florida in 2013, will transfer in search of playing time at cornerback, according to The Gainesville Sun's Pat Dooley.

Muschamp would, subsequently, announce Riggs's intention to transfer at the end of the spring semester.
Just some updates, Cody Riggs and his parents came to me and he's going to finish up in May and transfer to another school to finish his last year of eligibility; wanted a fresh start. And I appreciate his contributions to Florida.
Riggs was a capable tackler at safety — which came as a pleasant surprise when he moved back to the position after playing cornerback for his first three years at Florida — but struggled in coverage as a safety after struggling in coverage as a corner. And if he's truly in search of reps at corner, Florida is not the place to get them, not with Vernon Hargreaves III, Jalen Tabor, Brian Poole, and others ahead of Riggs on the depth chart.
But while Riggs transferring leaves Florida's safety positions in flux — Jabari Gorman and Marcus Maye would seem to be the incumbent tandem at this point — it also frees up a scholarship on a National Signing Day that could see Florida pressed for space with Damian Prince and Adoree' Jackson yet to announce.
