Wilbekin humbled: I'll be honest: I never saw this coming a couple of years ago. Good for him. (Kevin Brockway, The Gainesville Sun)
Gators ready for spring practice: After last season, I have no doubt that everyone within the program (and the fans) are ready to put last year behind them. (Adam Pincus, The Independent Florida Alligator)
The Roper Effect: Is improving the pace of the offense the main reason why Kurt Roper was brought in? (Jeff Barlis, SEC Blog/ESPN)
Injuries still looming: The Gators will be dealing with nine players who are questionable for the spring and/or won't be cleared for football activities until the summer. Sigh. (Jeff Barlis, SEC Blog/ESPN)
Andre Debose to be cleared March 28th: He still hasn't officially received his medical waiver to play this year, but all expectations is that he will very soon. The NCAA has never been the fastest orginization. (Edgar Thompson, Swamp Things/Orlando Sentinel)
Free Agency: "Bubba" Caldwell re-signs with Denver, but the most important thing is that the REDSKINS aren't dealing with a cap penalty for signing players in a non-capped year! (Zach Abolverdi, GatorSports)
Rockets/Thunder: I haven't watched much of the NBA this year, but the next time the Rockets and Thunder get together, I want to. Seems interesting.
Favorite US Cities: I'm limiting this to any city that I've been to and have never lived in. Travel and/or vacation cities.
- 1) Washington, DC - I'm a history guy. No other US city has more. Love it.
- 2) Las Vegas - I'm also a gambling guy.
- 3) Pensacola - Perfect.
- 4) Nashville - Gem of the South.
- 5) Any city on Gulf Coast of Florida - There is nothing like the water of Gulf of Mexico. I'll take it over the Atlantic/East Coast of Florida any day.
Just missing the list: Denver, Salt Lake City, Boise, Casper and Jackson Hole (it's just a little too cold for too long). I'm sure there are others, but for now I'm drawing a blank.
