Gators track in New Mexico for NCAA Indoor Championships

The No. 1-ranked men's and women's track teams head to Albuquerque, New Mexico for the 2014 NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend.

The Florida Gators' track and field teams will put their No. 1 rankings on the line over the next two days at the 2014 NCAA Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Albuquerque Convention Center will host the two-day event, and the Gators will try to bring home the 32nd and 33rd national championships in school history.

The men's team have a total of 11 athletes (plus one alternate) at the Championships and the women will be bringing 12 (plus two alternates). Please remember that they'll be competing in a lot more than just 11 and 12 events respectively, so don't worry, we won't be "an event out" of winning the title.

The Gators will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, with Marquis Dendy and the men's long jump. Dendy is the reigning NCAA champion so the Gators have a very good shot at jumping out to a very good start. Things will conclude Friday night for the Gators with the women's distance medley at around 9:35 p.m.

On Saturday, Brittany Harrell will get things going for the Gators in the pentathlon at around noon, while the 4x400m relays will end the competition around 8:30 p.m. as usual.

You can follow all of the timing online courtesy of FlashResults, including live team standings upon the completion of events throughout the weekend. ESPN3 will also be airing free live video coverage of the Championships beginning at 7:55 p.m. ET on both Friday and Saturday.

ESPNU will be airing a tape delayed broadcast on Saturday, March 22, at 6:30 p.m. ET. A complete breakdown of the field by teams and events is available here (PDF) and the USTFCCCA is your home for championship central.
