Six questions for spring practice: Kurt Roper's arrival, Jeff Driskel's leg and the mentality of the team as spring practice begins today. (Jesse Simonton, Gator Clause/Miami Herald)

Open practice begins today at 3:35 p.m.: It's the first of nine practices and the Orange and Blue Debut (out of, I believe, 15 total) that will be open to the public. (GatorSports)

More on spring practice: Just get healthy, right? (Jeff Barlis, SEC Blog/ESPN)

Even more on spring practice: Position battles and competition! (Jon Cooper, Saturday Down South)

Gators and free throws: They have been clutch at times (Auburn and Arkansas) and terrible (SEC Tournament), but is this the weakest link in a team that has won 26 straight games? (Jonathan Czupryn, The Independent Florida Alligator)

Gators in Barack Obama's Final Four: They are there alongside Arizona, Louisviile and Michigan State. As of this writing the winner hasn't been released. (Andy Katz, ESPN)

It's Albany: The Great Danes (hey, that's a decent name) defeated Mount St. Mary's last night in their opening round game and will play the Gators on Thursday. It's also the first time since 2005 that the Gators and Albany have played. The Gators won that last match up 85-64. (Associated Press, ESPN) (Raymond Hines, GatorCountry)

Bruce Pearl is back: He'll be at Auburn on six-year deal worth $14.7 million to be exact. (ESPN)

Baseball beats No. 1 Florida State: The Gators won 3-1 behind Harrison Bader and Bobby Poyner and improved to 14-7 on the year. (GatorZone)

Favorite pies: It's about time we got to this.

  • 1) Key Lime Pie: It's not even close.
  • 2) Pecan: Goes great with any occasion.
  • 3) Chicken pot pie: Not a dessert pie, but it still counts.
  • 4) Apple pie: Probably the best single pie I've ever had was a pie from the Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge.
  • 5) Chocolate: Just makes everything better.

Just missing the list: Blueberry and Pumpkin pies.
