2014 NCAA Tournament open thread: Florida's sweet spot, and rooting for upsets

There's still a lot of basketball left to be played this weekend. But we ain't worried 'bout nothin'.

Florida is in the Sweet Sixteen. Florida was the first team in the Sweet Sixteen, and the biggest winner on Saturday — after defeating the Pittsburgh team that was very good and quite hot coming in by 16, the Gators kept the No. 1 ranking in KenPom coming into today, and sent Pitt plummetting — and got to watch as No. 11 seed Dayton knocked off No. 3 seed Syracuse to make its Final Four road slightly easier.

Now, with Stanford in a tight game with Kansas and Stephen F. Austin off an upset and ready to take a run at UCLA, there are chances for Gators to keep rooting for upsets — which happen to be ones that help Florida, too.

And, no, I don't care that Florida might, eventually, down the road, be slighted for having made a Final Four run against no seed higher than a No. 9. Flags fly forever.

If you want to watch those games and the rest of Sunday's NCAA Tournament action with us over here, we'd be obliged.

Here's the Sunday broadcast schedule. I'll be in the comments.
